Jewelry Care

A little care goes a long way. Follow these simple habits and your piece will stay close for years.

Everyday Habits

  • Put your piece on last, after perfume, lotion, hairspray, and makeup have dried.
  • Take it off first, before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
  • Avoid contact with chlorine, saltwater, and household cleaning products.

Cleaning

Wipe your piece gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing to remove oils and moisture. Avoid jewelry dips, polishing compounds, ultrasonic cleaners, and abrasive cloths — these strip plated finishes.

Storage

Store your piece dry, away from direct sunlight and humidity, ideally in a pouch or lined box. Keep pieces separated so they do not scratch one another. Avoid leaving jewelry in a bathroom, where humidity is highest.

Chains and Clasps

Fasten the clasp before storing to prevent tangling, and never pull a chain to remove it. Most broken chains are caused by tension, not by a fault in the piece.

A Note on Plated Finishes

Plating is a surface finish. With regular wear it will naturally soften over time — this is expected and is not a defect. Careful habits slow it considerably.
